Case Study
Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
About the project
The Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education is a non-profit organization representing educational developers and those interested in research and best practices in adult and higher education.
Challenge
As STLHE grew, so did the breadth of its programs, events, awards, and specialized communities. While this growth strengthened the organization’s impact, a lack of cohesion across the branding and presentation of its various groups led to a fragmented experience and reduced clarity around STLHE’s identity and leadership role within the teaching and learning landscape.
STLHE also needed a new website to support its diverse, national membership, its annual conference, award program and other key initiatives. With multiple communities within STLHE, the challenge was to develop a cohesive central spot for all information and resources.
Solution
A refreshed brand system also established a consistent visual identity across STLHE and its affiliated communities.
The new site includes a membership management system, showcases projects, supports a national conference and keeps members connected to events and resources. It also replaced four previous sites that were disconnected, and which duplicated information.
