Case Study
Town of Stratford
About the project
As one of Prince Edward Island’s fastest-growing municipalities, the Town of Stratford required a new website to better serve its expanding community of residents, developers, and businesses.
Challenge
The town’s previous digital presence suffered from a cluttered information architecture and a confusing content hierarchy, making it difficult for users to intuitively navigate essential municipal services. Compounding this friction, the town relied on several independent department calendars across the site, resulting in a highly disconnected and frustrating experience for users trying to track community events, council meetings, and recreational schedules.
Solution
The redesigned website introduces a clean, highly strategic user experience focused on intuitive navigation and simplified content pathways. We completely overhauled the main navigation to ensure critical public resources, bylaws, and applications are accessible in just a few clicks.
A prominent “How Do I…” feature provides quick access to the most frequently used services and information, allowing users to complete common tasks without having to search through multiple pages.
Another key enhancement was the consolidation of the Town’s previously fragmented event calendars into a single, centralized community calendar. Now residents can easily browse and events by department or area of interest to stay connected with everything happening across the Town.
