Navigating the Modern Professional Landscape

In today’s dynamic professional environment, women leaders face unique challenges and opportunities. This intensive, structured one and a half day workshop is designed for aspiring and current female leaders who want to hone their leadership skills, gain insights from industry experts, and connect with like-minded professionals. This in-person workshop delves into the realities of leadership in 2025, focusing on topics critical to women in leadership roles. 

The workshop will be held in Charlottetown the full day of April 8 and the afternoon of April 9, 2025. Additional dates will be announced soon through 2025.

Workshop Content

Day 1- Morning: Discovering Your Leadership Approach & Avoiding Burnout 

Begin your leadership journey by identifying your personal leadership approach. Through assessments and guided discussions, discover how your strengths, values, and experiences shape your approach to leadership. Learn strategies for recognizing and mitigating burnout, while cultivating a sustainable work-life rhythm that empowers you to thrive. 

Day 1- Afternoon: Leadership in 2025 & Managing Change  

Explore the evolving landscape of leadership in 2025. Learn how to navigate and lead through organizational change, adapting to new challenges and opportunities with agility and confidence. Gain insights into the expectations of leadership and how to meet them.   

Day 2 -Afternoon: Evolution of Leadership & Battling Imposter Syndrome   

Investigate the ongoing evolution of leadership, focusing the differences between leadership and management. Address the pervasive issue of imposter syndrome, develop strategies to overcome self-doubt, and embrace your leadership potential. 


Workshop Leader

Michelle MacDonald has been in leadership roles for forty years, starting with student council in high school. She is an entrepreneur and strategist at heart. She has been Chief of Staff to a federal Cabinet Minister, Executive Director of national and international non-profit organizations, an instructor at Holland College and a small retail business owner. In all she does, Michelle is passionate about growing leadership capacity. Michelle has been a facilitator and trainer for over 20 years on topics such as leadership, adult learning and board governance.


Learning Approach

This workshop series emphasizes a reflective, practical approach to learning, encouraging participants to apply insights directly to their professional contexts. Through a collaborative small group learning environment, participants will engage in group discussions, interactive exercises, and peer feedback, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and experiences. This hands-on approach ensures that each participant gains theoretical knowledge and develops actionable strategies that can be immediately implemented in their leadership roles. 


Optional Mentorship Opportunity

Participants can also engage in three one-hour, one-on-one mentoring sessions with Michelle. These structured sessions are tailored to individual needs, providing personalized guidance, feedback, and support. The mentorship will enhance learnings in the workshop.  

This workshop series goes beyond a traditional learning experience; it is a comprehensive professional development journey crafted to empower women with the essential tools and insights needed to excel in leadership roles. 


Who should attend

If you are in a management or senior leadership role within your business or organization, or if you wish to develop your leadership skills, there will be something in this workshop series for you.   


Fees & Registration

Workshop Fee: $750 for the day and half session (in-person) + $600 for optional one-on-one mentoring sessions (virtual) 

Early registration is encouraged, as spaces are limited to ensure an intimate learning environment, allowing for personalized attention and meaningful interactions.  

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the workshop.


FAQs

What happens if I need to cancel?

Cancellation up to 72 hours before the workshop starts will receive a full refund minus 6% to cover processing fees. Cancellation within 72 hours will not be reimbursed, but attendees can apply the registration fees towards a seat in future cohort.  

Can I get a partial refund if I need to miss one of the sessions?

Unfortunately, no. Seating is limited and once we sell a seat, we cannot resell it at the last minute.  

Will the workshop series be offered virtually?

Not at this time. Due to the nature of the workshop approach, attendees will get the most from a session by being in person. However, one on one mentoring can be done virtually.


Policies

Minimum participation is required for the workshop series. AOR 360 reserves the right to cancel a workshop series and provide a full refund to attendees.  

Absolutely no harassment or inappropriate behaviour will be tolerated. Participants are expected to demonstrate mutual respect, kindness and professionalism.   

In the event of inclement weather or an emergency that requires cancelling a session, all best efforts will be made to reschedule the session in a timely manner.
